Who we are
Bash Recruiting is a technology recruiting and executive search firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This notice explains how we handle personal information for candidates, client contacts, and website visitors.
Notice version 1.0. Effective September 2026.
Information we collect
Candidates: name, contact details, location, resume and work history, skills, target roles, compensation expectations, work authorisation, notice period, work-model preferences, interview availability, consent records, and communications with us.
Client contacts: name, business contact details, role, and communications relating to hiring engagements.
Website visitors: information you submit through our forms, and basic technical information required to operate and secure the site.
Why we use it
To assess suitability for roles, to represent candidates to clients with consent, to deliver recruiting services under a written agreement, to communicate about roles and process, to meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations, and to protect against fraud and misuse.
Consent and disclosure
We do not submit a candidate profile to a client without role-specific consent that names the client and the role. Consent records the purpose, capture method, notice version, timestamp, and expiry date, and can be withdrawn at any time.
We disclose candidate information to a client only for a role the candidate has consented to, and to service providers who support our operations under contract.
Retention
We keep candidate recruiting information for a defined retention period and review it before expiry. Financial and contractual records are kept for the period required by Canadian accounting and tax rules.
Security
Documents are stored in private storage with short-lived access links. Access is limited by role, sensitive actions are logged, and information is encrypted in transit and at rest through our platform providers.
Your choices and rights
You can request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent for a specific client or role, ask us to stop contacting you, or request deletion or anonymisation of your recruiting data.
We verify identity before acting on a request, confirm the outcome in writing, and keep records that must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud, security, or dispute purposes.
Commercial electronic messages
Our commercial messages identify Bash Recruiting, include our contact information, and provide a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribe requests are applied to future commercial messages.
Candidate fees
Candidates never pay Bash Recruiting a fee for placement services.

Submit a privacy request through our contact page, or write to our privacy contact at the mailing address we provide on request. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable Canadian privacy law.
